Simple Christmas Decoration (nr. 3)

Here is my third simple decoration for Xmas.

Today I started the morning with a long walk at the park and
I collected lots of foliage, berries, pine cones and pine branches.

The base of my wreath was an ivy.
This plant is so great, seems to lend itself to the circularity needed
and it's lush and bendy... so it's perfect for wreaths :)
Another important component of wreaths: wire!

Usually my motto: less is more! And I think it's so wonderful
how just a few berries or cones can give the right balance.

I made three variations of the same wreath:
First with white berries:

The second with red berries:

The third with pine cones:

It's pretty easy to put together a wreath, anybody can do it,
so you don't need to feel intimidated by it.
Just try it! It's fun :)

Simple Christmas decoration (nr. 2)

I saw this amazing idea on the Pinterest (of course:) ) and I had to try it (of course)
So here they are:

It's so simple to make these candle holders. I had some oranges,
I took a handful of cloves and tree candles.

I cut the oranges in two, I took out the interior, I put a candle into
the empty oranges and I decorated them with cloves.
The result are some simple and cute candle holders. Love them.

Love them, specially in the dark!
And they smell wonderful :)

Simple Christmas Decoration (nr. 1)

As Christmas is approaching I like to decorate our house.
I don't know about you, but for me is so relaxing and calming to arrange flowers,
I enjoy to use the treasures of the garden and
I love the simplicity of the natural flow of branches and leaves.

I collected in the garden some branches , a few pine cones
and a bunch of pine branches.
I had this old, little basket and I started to arrange my decoration.

There is a little difference between the arrangement at the top of this post
and this one, and to be honest I couldn't choose which I liked more...

Black and White - BnW

Sometimes I like to switch my camera and take bnw pictures of
the world around me. The lack of color brings out of pictures a
completely different world, yes they are colorlessness, but they are not boring.
The bnw worldview results an incredible balanced and a peaceful atmosphere.
The same picture in color is full of vitality and actions,
while the bnw is the endless peace.
Sometimes try to use this technique, because these days we forgot it...

The last few months I took these black and white photos:

The Black Sea

Kittens at my boyfriends mother :)

Aren't they beautiful??? :)
